Derivatives World ASIA 2009, Singapore, Sept 9th, 2009 - NYSE Technologies, a leader in low latency connectivity and the commercial technology unit of NYSE Euronext, today announced plans to expand the services of its Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure® (SFTI®) to Asia providing market participants with improved connectivity to NYSE Liffe.
SFTI® provides a single point of connectivity with lowest-latency access to multiple markets. It is the industry’s most secure and resilient platform, specifically built for electronic trading and market data traffic. SFTI® reduces the cost and risk associated with connecting and managing multiple third-party networks. It enables firms to reduce their time-to-market, improve their performance and significantly lower the cost of their trading infrastructure.
Having rolled out SFTI® in the US and more recently Europe , NYSE Technologies continues to execute on its vision to create the premier platform, capable of linking execution venues and market participants throughout the world with a single interface. Plans are already in place to upgrade existing assets to create the first Asian SFTI® Access Centre in Singapore by the end of this year. This new presence signals the launch of SFTI® Asia , providing lower latency access to the existing NYSE Liffe trading community, in addition to opening up access to other markets.
Mike Donahue, Managing Director of TransMarket Group, said, “Reliable low latency connectivity is critical to the trading mission at TransMarket, so we are extremely pleased with the initiative and foresight of NYSE Euronext in bringing ever more robust connectivity to our Singapore traders with this significant investment.”
“Providing NYSE Liffe members with high quality access to our markets is critical to the continued success of our business,” said Garry Jones, Group Executive Vice President and Head of Global Derivatives, NYSE Liffe. “We are very pleased that our customers are now able to leverage the SFTI® network in Singapore and look forward to further expansion in the region.”
“NYSE Technologies’ is committed to providing clients with access to global liquidity and continually strives to offer greater value and choice for our customers”, said Stanley Young, CEO, NYSE Technologies and Co-Global CIO, NYSE Euronext. “By the end of this year, we are not only bringing SFTI® into Asia but also enabling our customers to leverage their existing infrastructure to access more venues.”
