NYSE Euronext Announces 2007 Returns for NYSE Indexes
NEW YORK – Feb. 6, 2008 – NYSE Euronext (NYSE: NYX) announced today that the NYSE Composite Index (NYA), comprised entirely of companies meeting the industry’s highest standards of an NYSE listing, rose 6.58% during 2007.   The NYA includes all issues listed on the NYSE from issuers around the world.  For 2007, the index outperformed both the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 indexes.

The NYSE Arca Tech 100 Index (PSE), a broad based multi-industry technology index, finished 2007 with an increase of 7.26% (7.82% including dividends).   The NYSE Arca Tech 100 Index includes companies listed on multiple U.S. exchanges and is comprised of companies that develop and/or deploy cutting edge technology from a wider spectrum of disciplines than traditional technology indexes.  It reflects the market performance of leading companies in the Biotech, Aerospace and Pharmaceutical industries as well as those in the traditional tech industries of Software, Semiconductors and Hardware.

“We are very excited to announce the full year performance data for our diverse set of indexes,” said Lisa Dallmer, Senior Vice President, ETFs and Indexes.   “These products contain many of the world’s most recognized and widely-held companies, representing specific segments of the global marketplace.  Created to give investors more ways to analyze the market, the complete family of NYSE indexes is the best barometer for tracking all aspects of the world’s largest and most liquid marketplace.”
