On Friday, December 28, the Startup Weekend leadership team and guests will ring the NYSE Opening Bell to celebrate the creation of 100,000 entrepreneurs through Startup Weekend.

From Mongolia to Iran to cities in the U.S. like New York, Kansas City, and San Francisco, Startup Weekend has surfaced all over the globe as a leading force in the grassroots development of entrepreneurship and startup ecosystems around the world.  

As a democratizer of entrepreneurship, Startup Weekend makes entrepreneurship accessible to anyone, whether they come from a rural community in Uganda or a bustling metropolis on the East Coast. Startup Weekend is positioned to impact lives on every corner of the globe by offering self-empowerment as the greatest possible sustaining tool for individuals and communities.

In the last three years, nearly 100,000 entrepreneurs have participated in Startup Weekend in over 100 countries globally.  Startup Weekend alumni have collectively raised over $75 Million for new ventures and created thousands of new jobs all over the world.  

January marks the 100,000th entrepreneur to participate in Startup Weekend and to celebrate this occasion; the Startup Weekend leadership team will ring the NYSE Opening Bell.
