On Thursday, December 27 Adam Braun, Founder & CEO of Pencils of Promise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating schools, programs and global communities around the common goal of education for all, will visit the New York Stock Exchange and ring The Closing Bell to highlight the organization’s progress and promote its current campaign, Schools4All.
Pencils of Promise believes every child should have access to quality education. PoP was founded with $25 and in just four years has broken ground on more than 100 schools across Africa, Asia and Latin America. They have delivered 4 million education hours to children and developed programs to train teachers and provide student scholarships as well. Visit www.pencilsofpromise.org to learn more.
Schools4All is a movement of students for students which encourages students in the United States to come together to raise funds to educate children around the world. Money raised during the campaign goes to Pencil of Promise’s programs in Ghana, Guatemala, Laos and Nicaragua. At the conclusion of the Schools4All campaign on January 31, 2013, one school will be selected and will win a visit from Pencils of Promise celebrity spokesperson, Justin Bieber.
